Café de Paris

Café de Paris is one of the oldest clubs of London's luxurious nightclubs. It opened in 1924 and was the first place where the dance Charleston was introduced to London. During World War II, in 1941, Café de Paris was bombed shortly after a performance started and it only reopened a few years later in 1948. The venue then re-established itself as one of the leading theater/club in London, counting guests such as Grace Kelly or Frank Sinatra.

Beyond this interesting history, Café de Paris was used for many film locations and was used for scenes in the movies The Queen’s Sister and in The Edge of Love. Furthermore it also appears in the music video I think we’re alone now by Girls Aloud.

The nightclub is located in central London, beside Leicester Square on Coventry Street, Piccadilly. Many celebrities such as Rita Ora, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers,, One Direction, Hugh Grant and Kate Moss often join the party at Café de Paris..

Designed like an old French theater, with two big staircases on each sides of the club, Café de Paris offers an amazing cabaret each weekend days before the club opens.

It presents the most spectacular cabaret, burlesque and variety shows in town. Prices for the cabaret (including diner) goes from £20 to £75 pp on Friday and from £30 to £95 on Saturday. All the tickets give access to the nightclub until 3am.

However if you just want to go to the nightclub it is only £10 on Guest list (that you can join through the website) before 11:30 pm on Friday and £15 on Saturday before 11 pm. Without a guest list it is £20 per people all night. Prices are subject to change due to special events and parties. Also keep in mind that by going with a promoter of the club you’ll be more likely to get free drinks

The dress code is smart and sexy, so high heels are an obligation for girls and sneakers and sportswear in general are forbidden for boys Keep in mind that it is always harder for boys than for girls to get in, so if you want to pass the doorman you should be careful to what you are wearing.. I advice girls to wear a nice party dress and boys a nice shirt with fancy jeans.

Also, only male group are less likely to get in, so try to be a mixed or girls group. It is always easier to get in with more girls then boys.

Oh and just one last advice: try to not look too drunk before trying to enter the club!
